Becoming a Friend of Hurricane Creek is a way of serving all the inhabitants your community, including the ones who speak chlorophyll or tweet tweet rather than English.

As a member, you will be able to use the Watson's Bend Campground and join a lively group of locals (and not-so-locals) who care deeply about local ecology and the Hurricane Creek watershed. Your membership also helps us support Creekkeeper, John Wathen, as he devotes his time and resources to protecting and restoring the creek.

Your donations to FOHC are all tax-deductible because we are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The gift of creek makes a great birthday present for friends and family members who appreciate local ecology and look forward to a green future. If you'd like to give the gift of creek, follow the button below and send an email to to let us know so we can welcome our new friends with a card.

How to Join

To become a member,  just fill out the application below and pay your membership dues. Those who pay online will receive an email with an acknowledgement of your donation for tax purposes.

If you can't give any money, then you can "pay" by volunteering to help John Wathen one afternoon or by offering other skills (i.e. graphic design, drawing, music, etc.). Or you can donate an item on our wishlist.

We believe that money is not the only way to add value to an organization. That said, it helps to defray the costs of management and makes it possible for the Hurricane Creekkeeper to continue working for the creek.
