Anna Keene is the AmeriCorps VISTA watershed coordinator for the Friends of Hurricane Creek, sponsored by the Alabama Rivers Alliance. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2005 with a degree from New College in Environmental Studies. The following year, Anna taught environmental education at McDowell Environmental Center in Nauvoo, Alabama. She is now serving a year-long commitment to helping build the organization and to address Abandoned Mine Land issues. Anna enjoys being outside, paddling, swimming, and playing music. She has been involved with the Friends of Hurricane Creek since 2001.
